Politeness!

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

Rejection note from the publisher to the author while returning the script:

“We have perused your manuscript with exceptional relish. We fear, however, that if we were to publish your outstanding work, it would be quite impossible for us to ever again publish another work that would not come up to its standard. And we cannot imagine how any other work will be its equal in the next hundred years! So, to our deepest regret, we are compelled to return your incredible composition. And we beg you a thousand times over to pardon our shortsightedness and faintheartedness.”

Politeness should not diminish the clarity of  Truth.

Truth!

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

It seems truth should never be explained for that it will not remain truth anymore!

If you have one watch, you know the time. If you have two watches, you’re never sure!

The Truth that sets us free is almost always the Truth we would rather not hear! So when we say something isn’t true, what we all too frequently mean is: “i do not like it.â€

Here and Now!

Friday, December 31st, 2010

A lover pressed his suit unsuccessfully for many months, suffering the atrocious pains of rejection. Finally his sweetheart yielded. “Come to the park, at 6:00 PM”, she said.

So the lover finally found himself seated beside his beloved. He pulled out a sheaf of love letters that he had written to her over the months. They were passionate expression of pain and burning desire. He began to read them aloud. The minute passed and he read on and on…

Finally the woman burst out, “What kind of a blockhead are you? Those letters tell of your longing. Well, here I am with you at last, and you are lost in your ludicrous letters.”

“Here I am with you”,  and “you keep thinking of me in your head, talking of me with your tongue, and searching for me in your books”. “When will you start living with me?”…..

Here is 2011 already with us…. Good to start living a great life this year and beyond…. Here and Now!

Welcome 2011!

Drop Nothing!

Friday, December 24th, 2010

It is that time of the year when suddenly we look around for all those contacts – emails, addresses, phone numbers of our good old friends, colleagues, customers and loved ones! Yes! to greet and wish them for a Happy New Year!

There will be style statements, crafty messages and touching pictures to carry these well wishes. Celebration when comes naturally will have a lasting impression v/s artificial obligatory gestures!

True friends and dear ones do not need a general day for a wish. They expect that every day! What matters to them is not our intentions – but actions that show we care, we respond and we enjoy the togetherness in this journey of life! Formality should not replace the firmness of friendship or any relationship…

Disciple: I have come to you with nothing in my hands.

Master: Drop it at once!

Disciple: But how can I drop it? It is nothing.

Master: Then carry it around with you!

hands

Your Nothing can be your most valued possession! Don’t drop it! Let it be with you in coming years too!
